Good Neighbor Policy

Neighbors are aware that we are a sober living home. Living at Serenity Place is a privilege and it is certainly a privilege to have YOU living at Serenity Place. Recovery is Beautiful and we are so blessed to be part of this journey with you!

Please do not be loud while out side and do not use foul language anywhere on our property. As part of the agreement before moving in to our home you have committed to do your very best to work on change. It is extremely important that you always show respect to each other and your neighbors. You will be asked to leave and or police will be called if anyone feels threatened in any way.

Hygiene

Hygiene’s are very important. Washer and dryer are provided. Showers are provided. Monthly you are taken to a church where they provide you with soap and everything you need to keep clean. If you need tooth paste or any thing to maintain your Hygiene’s we will do all we can to help you. It is your responsibility to use what you have. You are required to stay clean. If you continue to not take care of your self and the things in the house; it will be addressed, and may lead to you being asked to find another place to live if you chose to not comply with the health and safety of yourself and others.

Privacy / Confidentiality

What is said in the house stays in the house. If you choose to share your story out side of the house please do not use our names in your stories without permission. When you are in counseling and IOP work on your recovery not others. If you are continually in a situation where you are complaining about others you should probably reevaluate your situation and find a new solution to your problem.

Music can be a trigger for most people in recovery. Be considerate of others. The only music allowed to be played in serenity place is Christian music. If you want to listen to your own music you must use ear phones and it must not be dope related/alcohol related and or sex related music. Nothing changes if nothing changes.
